ATLAS Privacy Notice
Rimshot Creative develops and operates ATLAS for its internal client research, SEO analysis and planning. This notice covers information handled through ATLAS and its Google reporting connection, “ATLAS Google Reporting.” For ordinary use of this website, see Rimshot’s website privacy policy: https://rimshotcreative.com/privacy-policy/.
Information used
ATLAS can process client business information, reporting briefs, prior-work records and supported files supplied for analysis. With the Google account holder’s authorization, it retrieves:
– Google Analytics 4 landing-page paths and aggregate sessions, users, engagement time, key events, revenue and session key-event rates, with requested reporting dates and filters.
– Google Search Console queries, page URLs, clicks, impressions, click-through rates and average positions, including exact-page comparisons and supported country/device filters.
– Connection and report metadata, such as the authorized account identifier, property/site identifiers, timezones, collection times, quality flags and reporting limits.
Search terms, URLs and supplied documents can contain personal information. Provide only information needed for the work. Google may withhold some data; ATLAS does not treat missing information as zero or recover data that was never recorded.
Permissions and purposes
The reporting connection requests only Google Analytics read-only and Search Console read-only permissions: analytics.readonly and webmasters.readonly. It does not request permission to edit those services or access Gmail, Drive or Calendar through this connection. Google may grant access across properties available to the account; ATLAS restricts retrieval to explicitly enabled client/property mappings.
Rimshot uses the information to compare performance, investigate changes, maintain evidence and prior-work context, and prepare analysis and proposed work for human review. Reports may be provided to the client whose work they concern. Google API information is not sold or used for advertising targeting.
AI-assisted processing
The local reporting commands do not themselves call an AI model. Rimshot’s assisted workflow uses OpenAI’s Codex/ChatGPT tools. Selected report information, client context, prompts, tool results and generated analysis included in that workflow are processed by OpenAI, separately from ATLAS’s local files.
The reviewed ChatGPT workspace’s data controls state that OpenAI does not use data from that workspace to train or improve its models, and that its plan does not offer an option to opt in to model training. This statement applies to that workspace; it does not establish the controls of every separate Codex environment or OpenAI service. It does not mean information is never retained or processed by OpenAI. OpenAI-held conversations, files and execution context follow the applicable service terms and workspace controls. ATLAS does not automatically delete those copies.
Google API Limited Use
ATLAS’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements: https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy.
Storage and security
The current Google connection stores its authorization and desktop-client configuration in the operator’s macOS login Keychain. Short-lived access tokens are held in process memory. Google API requests use HTTPS.
Report snapshots, comparisons, supplied files and generated reports are stored in local files. The Google acquisition tool creates owner-only output directories and files. ATLAS does not itself encrypt report files; device encryption, backups and any external storage protections are managed separately. Credentials are not report content and should not be included in prompts or client documents.
Retention, deletion and disconnection
ATLAS currently has no automatic retention or deletion schedule. Local records remain until Rimshot manually deletes them. Google authorization can expire or be revoked; its local Keychain entry and saved reports require separate removal. AI-service records and backups also require their own retention/deletion handling. Deleting one local file does not remove every copy.
The Google account holder can revoke the connection through Google Account third-party connections: https://myaccount.google.com/connections. Revocation prevents further authorized retrieval but does not delete previously saved information. ATLAS’s read-only permissions do not allow it to delete the original Google Analytics or Search Console data.
Contact info@rimshotcreative.com to request access, correction, deletion or an end to ATLAS processing of information Rimshot controls. Requests require manual review and handling, including consideration of applicable legal or contractual obligations.
Changes and contact
Rimshot will update this notice before materially changing the disclosed data uses or providers and obtain any required authorization for new uses.
